Two men suffering from visible and invisible wounds meet by chance circumstance.

Nick Traynor and Ian Donovan spend a lot of time and effort keeping it very hot, only physical, and purely superficial. But when their resolve starts to slip, a woman is tossed into their midst.

Hannah Williams wants nothing more than to do her job until something better comes along, but is forced to own up to her visceral reaction to Ian, her new boss, and later to Nick, his sometimes lover.

Lust has a funny way of turning into companionship, and eventually evolving into a deeper connection. Faced with the internal and external complications of their potential three-way relationship, they begin to heal and trust, to consider that it might work. Then life tosses them a hardball, forcing them back into their respective corners, where each must choose what is most important.

Three people determined not to commit, thrown together by fate and undeniable attraction–their nights heat up and emotions run high in spite of a claimed mutual desire to “keep it simple.” In the process of honest self-discovery, can they learn that while love is never simple, it is definitely worth fighting for?

What an emotional roller coaster journey! phew

It has been a while since I read a contemporary menage as intense as this one. You know, the kind of story that will be stuck in your memory and one day, not too soon because it would spoil a bit the fun, but not too long because you will keep that in the back of your mind, you will re-read the story with the same pleasure, the same wow factor.

Honey Red is the kind of book that I will buy it in paperback because I have this habit that if I really like a story in ebook version, I must have it in paper. Don’t ask.

So lets speak a bit about the characters.

We have Ian, the anti heroes.

We have Nick, the war heroes.

We have Hannah the red, the woman that every woman reader will recognize herself in her.

And then we have Liz Crowe that found a way to keep me glued to my android to read non stop this story.

I did not know what to expect when I was asked by Tri Destiny Publishing to review this ARC (which by the time I will post this review will no longer be an ARC). I saw the cover book and thought to myself: okay, looks like a comedy. I do not read much menage comedy. why not. I also did not really understand why the image was roundish, you know like not clean cut like the other image. I did not play much attention in the details.

All along, Liz Crowe surprised me. When I thought I knew what was going to happen, I got it wrong… I loved it! It is a complete turn on to read a story and not knowing the plot, or just be surprised at every corner. She started her story long and steady. I got to know each character very well, with their good and bad sides, their ups and downs. The kind of character that you finally find in your real life, not perfect but endearing… the kind that you can relate, understand.

I believe that every woman reading this story will fall in love with Nick. Ian? probably but you will want to slap his face (or butt) first! Hannah will be the woman that you look at the mirror every morning, who struggle to find a good job, who may have renounced to a happy sex life but woke up thinking that sex is definitely part of our happiness, our balance in life. Not the perfect model, independent, strong yet loving woman. You will love her!

The story is all about those different personalities who had all a past, who are looking for love and acceptance. Their story will invite you to be part of their family.

Oh and lets not forget Jamie. You will adore him. Same with Brutus!

I wished I could tell you more but you will have to trust me, again, to jump up on the wagon and enjoy the ride!

Microbrewery owner, best-selling author, beer blogger and journalist, mom of three teenagers, and soccer fan, Liz lives in the great Midwest, in a major college town. Years of experience in sales and fund raising, plus an eight-year stint as an ex-pat trailing spouse, plus making her way in a world of men (i.e. the beer industry), has prepped her for life as erotic romance author.

When she isn’t sweating inventory and sales figures for the brewery, she can be found writing, editing or sweating promotional efforts for her latest publications.

Her groundbreaking romance subgenre, “Romance for Real Life,” has gained thousands of fans and followers who are interested less in the “HEA” and more in the “WHA” (“What Happens After?”)

Her beer blog is nationally recognized for its insider yet outsider views on the craft beer industry. Her books are set in the not-so-common worlds of breweries, on the soccer pitch and in high-powered real estate offices. Don’t ask her for anything “like” a Budweiser or risk painful injury.
