[Ménage Amour: Erotic Fantasy Ménage a Trois Romance, M/F/M, angels, light bondage, flogging, HEA]

Fleeing memories of her recent divorce and longing for some control over her life, Abigail Cosslin takes a two-week vacation at an exclusive resort that caters to its guests’ every desire. When she becomes involved with two of the resort’s mysterious, sexy owners, she doubles her pleasure, but what are they hiding?

Zachary Neville and Emmett Fallon are Nephilim who’ve been imprisoned on Earth for ninety years, and unless they fall in love with a mortal woman, they’re destined to live out eternity indulging in their favorite vices with no permanent satisfaction.

Zach and Emmett helped start Lilith’s Playground during Prohibition as a way to snub those who had a hand in their punishment, but each man longs for true love.

When they meet and seduce Abigail, hope begins to build. But will she believe their story and accept them on such terms? Or will she be lost to them forever?

What a refreshing story!

This is not often that authors decide to write about angels in a menage and most of the time demons are added in the mix. Not here and I liked it that way very much.

I enjoyed the way Carolyn Rosewood built her story and introduced us their angel status. In fact, I felt that the story was more contemporary than fantasy.

I loved the characters. It is possible that some readers may not understand why a 29 years old woman reacted the way she did. I did. I believe that if someone is put in a bubble and indoctrinated to believe that she is not worthy or dominated all her life, it is difficult to break free. I particularly liked the way Carolyn Rosewood explained how people may confuse coldness with protection and fear to be hurt.

The males were also lovable. Again, we find the intense/sensitive/dominant and the sweet/playful/carefree characters. But they were not over the top like it is often the case.

Sex scenes were hot. The heroine definitely loved to be spanked. hard. I would have maybe liked her to be also spanked on her pussy but I totally saw the scenes in my head as they were very well described. What I enjoyed tons was that Carolyn Rosewood never ever mention that they were Doms. They were dominant and loved bondage but I never cringed thinking that, again, the author thought it was hot to call them Doms. For that I give a lot of kudos to Carolyn Rosewood!!! I do believe that a lot of female readers may fantasize to be spanked after reading this story 😉

The writing was fluid. The English was really easy and very enjoyable.

I did not give a 5 stars for a couple of reasons:

1. I felt that the epilogue was a little bit missed. I was hoping all along to read about how they would turn back mortals and I was expecting some interaction with Lilith.

2. I thought that the title did not fit the menage story and did not include the second angel. I would have maybe just pick: Spanked! Seeing 2 guys on the cover but the title being Spanked by an Angel got me a bit confused. If the publisher did not add Menage Amour on the cover and tagged it menage HEA, I would have think that it was a MF story.

3. Although sex scenes were well described, I think the author should have added a bit more of foreplay when they broke her anus. It is not like a vagina and once you break a maidenhood , you are done with it. Unless the woman practice anal for a while, and most especially at the beginning, if there is no foreplay it can still be painful even if the woman is horny and got some orgasms first. Of course I am NOT the specialist here but I jumped a little bit when the males took her hard after the first time. This comment is also valid for all the other erotic authors since it is a very common to read. Not that it is such a big deal tho, again, I liked the sex scenes a lot!

Now. Besides these points, I really liked the book. It did not take long for me to read it even tho it is a novel of 157 pages and I think that all the elements were there to make it a great story. I really enjoy when a story captivates me up to the end and I take only short breaks so I can read it one shot.

The funny thing is since I bought a new android nexus 7 few weeks ago, I do not have an easy button to go to the end of the story. It is not that hard to do if I want to but I surprised myself not doing it since I started to read on this android and I am starting to like it that way, not to be spoiled. 🙂

Carolyn Rosewood mentioned:

This is book 1 of a six book series featuring hot Nephilim as the heroes. Each book is MFM menage. Books 1, 5 and 6 are set in contemporary times. Books 2, 3 and 4 go back and trace the beginnings of the resort our sexy Nephilim named Lilith’s Playground.

I am really looking forward to read more and I sure invite you to read this series!

Carolyn Rosewood loves to make up stories about badass alpha heroes and the women who love them and keep them guessing. She’s been reading romances for over thirty years and is never without a paperback or her Kindle.

She’s drawn to reading interesting plots and bad-boy sexy heroes, so you’ll find those in the stories she writes as well. Her other interests include playing the cello and collecting antique pottery.

In real life she works at a large US insurance company, but at home she’s either writing, reading, or spending time with her husband—her real-life hero. They have a daughter in college and a cat who loves to watch Carolyn type
