My rating: 4 stars

Fun. I had fun to read this first book, Locked In, of the Wicked Missions series by Elizabeth Raines. The book is easy to read with a fast enough pace that you are not bored in details.

This is a novella (24k – 78 pages). Normally I would be very frustrated because I always think there is something missing when I “turned” the last page of a short story. But Locked In has 78 pages worth to read. I say 78 if you remove from it the 10 pages of the siren publisher of course. Something that annoys me no end: the pages and pages of warning on each and every siren ebooks (or the 20 pages at the end of the story for advertising other books). I feel cheated each and every time. Since I read using an ereader, I need to click foreeeever to get to the story. Thanks God they stopped using the header link of legal warning! I understand their concerns but having this *&?%&?%(&? link on each and every page on my ereader when I am not concerned, I was totally frustrated. Siren Publishing has a way to frustrate me most of the time… I may talk about it in one of my venting bad day.

So back to the story. I really enjoyed that Elizabeth Raines picked a bad ass woman as her main character. Leesa knows what she wants and is not afraid to take and give once she knows the rules. This story is a MMF. The two males are a married couple and of course bisexual. Forced to share a small space for quarantine purposes, they take the relationship into the sex level since they all know that intellectually they are well together. The plot is not predominant in the story but I did not feel cheated. It was nicely mixed with the romance and I am not sure if the plot needed more exposure. I was curious to read how the 3 characters will become a solid triad and my wish was granted. I do not need to ask for more.

So we have 30 days of steamy sex between three people who are learning to communicate which is the hardest part in a relationship and should be #1 top priority for a successful one. They all wish the same thing which is a HEA but nobody wants to hurt the other showing more or less affection, more or less desire. That was interesting to read this story because Elizabeth Raines gave me a bit more of sex which is of course expected in an erotica story. I liked the interaction between the characters. They felt real.

So yes. I had fun to read this story which is the first book out of 7 for now. Again, since it is a winning series, I see no reasons why it should stop. The ratings are pretty honorable and good in general. So any reader who wish to spend a good time to read a nice Sci-Fi erotica menage story, would be wise to read this story.

Leesa Bouchard hires pilots and fellow wranglers Cain Hammel and Geoff Adams to share her lucrative mission—to bring the Dreaming Death virus from the barren planet of Charos in the war torn Rhotan System to Virus Initiative Corporation on Earth.

On their return flight, they’re arrested for smuggling an “illegal” virus, despite their insistence they were hired for the job. The sentence? Quarantine—thirty days for Leesa to spend with the two men she’s fantasized about for the entire mission. As they explore their mutual attraction and nurture their growing affection, she finds herself the target of a government investigation into who contracted her to collect the deadly virus. Evidence points to terrorists from the Rhotan System who might be targeting Earth.

Can Cain and Geoff help Leesa clear her name and protect her when a government agent wants to use her as bait to capture the terrorists?
